Simple to install and use, this Comfast dual band USB 3.0 WiFi dongle was a worthwhile upgrade to my PC.When first plugged in, it self-installs and starts working. Windows will then show any 2.4GHz or 5Ghz networks available. The device runs fast and is stable in use.†† With a 10% increase in signal strength over my previous dongle.

USB 3.0 Dual Band Wifi dongle 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz for a PC.

This is a dual band item. Supporting both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, promising speeds of 1200 megabits per second.†† Commonly advertised as AC1200.

Device adheres to the standards for IEEE 802/2.11abgnac

In the retail box, there is the device and some paperwork. It is advisable to read the instructions with the product, as I didnít and was caught out by how it installed.

The dongle is a reasonable size, some 10cm long, but the 2 antennas are built in.

Being 3-4 cm wide, you need to check there is space round your USB socket to accommodate this.Iím using it with a 1m USB extension cable.

I can confirm it works fine with the cable too.

Depending on its orientation the antennae could add 10cm to its size.

The advertising claims, these are air vents. So far, Iíve never detected any heat.

In terms of performance, I am seeing 5Ghz running at over 3 times the speed of 2.4Ghz and a more stable connection.

 Signal strength is also up

In both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bandwidths.

Overall a decent little device at a fair price.
